1.0 Payments and Deposits:

1.1 Inspired Guides require an initial deposit to be paid before the start of bookings to secure booking dates for clients and assure availability. Deposits represent 50% of the total course cost.

1.2 Payment of the total course cost is due 30 days before the date of the booking. We accept bank transfers or card payments through our STRIPE online booking system.

2.0 Cancellation by Inspired Guides:

2.1 In the unlikely event Inspired Guides have to cancel a course, we will notify the client of the cancellation as soon as possible, where we believe there there to be reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and / or unsuitable conditions for the course activity.

2.2 Upon cancellation the client will be offered the option to reschedule the course / booking or receive a full refund.

2.3 Inspired Guides are not liable for any extra costs incurred such as travel or accommodation related expenses.

3.0 Cancellation by Client:

3.1 Inspired Guides will only accept booking cancellations submitted in writing or via email. Inspired Guides will confirm any cancellation in writing or via email once it has been received.

3.2 Deposit policy:

Period before course date within which notice of cancellation by client is received and associated refund of deposits and course costs:
>30 days= Loss of deposit.
29 – 14 days= 80% of total course cost.
<14 days= 100% of total course cost.

4.0 Insurance and Loss:

4.1 Inspired Guides hold full Public Liability Insurance. We would advise any client to take out their own Personal Accident / Cancellation Insurance for added security. If they already have insurance, Inspired Guides advise to check that it covers the activity to be undertaken. We do not include any personal accident, cancellation, third party liability or other insurance.

4.2 For bookings of courses in the European Alps, Inspired Guides advise to obtain insurance covering rescue operations including helicopter rescues in remote terrain.

4.3 Inspired Guides will accept no responsibility whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property.

5.0 Health and Safety.

5.1 The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) Participation Statement issued by the BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of, and accept these risks and be responsible for their own involvement.

5.2 By booking a course clients are aware and accept these risks and will be responsible for their own actions & involvement. We will teach clients how to manage these, but can never completely remove them.

5.3 For all activities, Inspired Guides provide an online form that will need to be signed by any client, covering medical, risk and liability factors of any booking. Clients are responsible for the full disclosure of any medical conditions or disabilities that Instructors needs to be aware of to assure personal and group safety during courses and guided bookings.

5.4 Inspired Guides reserve the right to omit or cancel bookings at any time if clients engage in aggressive, disrespectful, discriminatory, or otherwise unacceptable behavior towards instructors or fellow participants. This includes, but is not limited to verbal abuse, physical threats, harassment, or any actions that compromise the safety or well-being of our team members. In such cases, Inspired Guides reserves the right to refuse service and cancel bookings without refund. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all participants and appreciate client cooperation in upholding these standards.
