The Cuillin ridge is the most famous mountaineering expedition in the United Kingdom! The ridge itself involves 12km of technical and exposed scrambling with over 4000 metres of elevation gain. On average, it takes roughly 20 hours to complete, spread over two days with a night spent bivvying on the ridge. Our experienced Skye mountain guides will give you the best chance of completing the ridge. We will aim to cross the ridge on the best two days with one rest day include. if we don’t have a suitable weather window, we will spend three days out scrambling but come back to the valley each night.
This is a rough itinerary, all plans are affected by weather due to the nature of the climate of Skye. If you would like to add another day in case of bad weather or an extra day of preparation, please contact us.
