Our two-day Independent Climber course constitutes the natural progression from our Introduction to Climbing course. We will refine the foundational skills learnt that course and build on them by progressing to placing and rating gear, building belays and rigging outdoor top ropes. It is not essential to have undertaken a previous course with us, anyone with some outdoor and/or indoor climbing experience wanting to build a foundation for future trad climbing adventures is well suited to attend. You will receive expert instruction exploring the safety and best practices involved with traditional climbing techniques, and gain confidence in the required equipment and planning for climbing adventures anywhere in the world. We will identify your strengths and weaknesses, and implement technical knowledge and practice rounds to solidify your abilities. Once you have completed this course, you could consider our Learn to Lead course which will provide you with the next steps into lead trad climbing.
