The Jacket-
A warm, reliable down jacket for cold adventures. The men’s Anti Freeze Down Hooded Jacket is an essential insulated layer that will keep you warm whilst you’re out pursuing adventure. Engineered using micro baffle construction, filled with water resistant down, this jacket combines excellent performance and protection, with recycled fabrics and eco credentials.

First Impressions-
I received the anti-freeze jacket at the start of June, with the task of putting it through its paces during a summer spent alpine climbing. The moment I unpackaged the jacket, the vibrant colour delivered a bright first impression! If bright colours are not your thing, there is a huge selection from black to adrenaline red. I had opted for a size medium, the jacket arrived true to size. A slick looking garment built for the hills!
Closing up for the evening!
The Fit and Features-
As stated above the jacket comes fits true to size. It offers a very functional design for the mountains due to the long arms, a large hood, a slim but long fit and generously sized pockets. The medium size has allowed me to use it as an outer insulation layer during the summer months but has also worked perfectly as a mid insulation layer as temperatures are dropping this autumn. The anti-freeze looks as at home in the mountains as it does accompanying you to the pub!
Insulation-
Coming in with a hefty 750+ fill power, this is an incredibly warm jacket which is very light and compresses very small, making it your best friend in the mountains. Additionally, the down is also water resistant (90/10 water resistant fluorocarbon-free HyperDRY™ down). This has made me very comfortable while bivvying or camping at altitude, where it’s common to wake up slightly damp from dew.

Durability-
Three months of use and many big alpine routes, the anti-freeze is coping very well. Virtually on a weekly basis I’m using tape to repair kit which has been torn while out on adventures, so far the jacket is completely tape free, very impressive!
Verdict-
Bright, well fitting and very warm! What is not to like. The anti-freeze has accompanied me on all my alpine missions this summer, from day hits to committing alpine grande courses, It has certainly earned its reputation as a very reliable partner!
